How it works to give you the lift you need

A scheduled price bounce that runs on autopilot

You set the rhythm

"Every X minutes" sets how often we lift. The typical range is 60 to 180 minutes. "Stay at the price Y minutes" sets how long the price holds before reverting. Shorter holds under 30 minutes are safer for Buy Box share; longer holds of 30–60 minutes exert more influence on the market.

1

You pick the target

Choose if a lift takes you to your floor price, your ceiling price, adds a fixed dollar amount or percentage, jumps to the highest price that generated a sale in the last 30, 60, or 90 days, jumps to the highest price ever sold, matches your rolling average selling price, or sets a fully custom price.

2

Your price lifts, holds, then reverts

Once saved, Flashpricer runs the pattern on repeat: jump to your target, hold for Y minutes, then hand control back to your regular strategy. The cycle continues automatically until you disable it. Works on Amazon, Amazon Business, and Walmart strategies.

3

Your base strategy takes over again

The Yo-Yo Lift works on top of your existing strategy, it doesn't replace it. During the hold window, the lifted price stands. The moment the hold expires, your normal rules resume: Buy Box targeting, competitor matching, custom rules, all of it. The lift is a scheduled interruption, not a strategy override.

Why sellers who lift prices outperform the competition

Raise your ceiling price with smart, automated moves

Your best products are underpriced

Most sellers only test price cuts by matching competitors and chasing the Buy Box. The Yo-Yo Lift systematically tests your upper range so you can find your true ceiling price instead of guessing that it doesn't exist.

Capture more profit without losing volume

A product selling at $130 matching the market jumps to $144 during a lift cycle and still sells, generating $52 profit per sale instead of $38. Many sellers cover the cost of their entire Flashpricer plan from this one feature alone.

Lift your average selling price

Each upward nudge is small and temporary, but the compound effect is real. Over time, the market absorbs repeated higher anchor points. Competitors see a higher price and often follow it up instead of continuing to undercut.

Stay algorithm friendly while testing

Buy Boxes vary by region, and competition shifts all day. There are times when you can raise prices and sell just as well. Yo-Yo finds those windows for you. The hold is short enough to keep Buy Box share intact but long enough to matter.

All of your Yo-Yo questions, answered

Can I use Yo-Yo Repricing alongside my existing strategy rules?

Yes — the Yo-Yo Lift is a layer on top of your existing strategy, not a replacement. Between lift cycles, your normal repricing rules run exactly as configured: Buy Box targeting, competitor matching, custom rules, everything. The lift only takes control during the brief hold window, then hands it back.

How do I trigger the first lift immediately instead of waiting a full cycle?

There's a shortcut: temporarily set the "Every X minutes" interval to a small number like 5 minutes, save the strategy, and the first lift will fire after just 5 minutes. Once it triggers, switch the interval back to your desired cadence (e.g., 120 minutes) and save again.

Q: Which products should I use Yo-Yo Repricing on?

It works best on high-velocity SKUs where you already have consistent Buy Box share and strong, steady demand. Products with historical outlier high-price sales are especially good candidates — those sales prove the market has accepted a higher price before. A simple starting setup like adding $5 every 90 minutes with a 30-minute hold is enough to start discovering your real ceiling.

Will the Yo-Yo Lift cause me to lose the Buy Box?

The hold duration is configurable specifically so you can manage this tradeoff. Shorter holds under 30 minutes are safer for Buy Box share because the marketplace algorithm sees the price increase as temporary. Longer holds of 30–60 minutes exert more influence on the market price but carry slightly more risk. It's also worth noting that Buy Boxes vary by region — a higher price may still hold the Buy Box in certain areas even during a lift. Either way, your regular repricing strategy resumes automatically after every hold.

What are the available target options for the price lift?

There are 8 targets to choose from: go to min (your floor price), go to max (your ceiling price), add a fixed $ or % to the current price, subtract a fixed $ or %, highest price sold in the last 30/60/90 days, highest price ever sold, average selling price (rolling 30-day default with adjustable lookback), and custom (an explicit price or a % above/below current).

How does Yo-Yo Repricing differ from just setting a higher price?

Setting a higher static price means you stay there and potentially lose the Buy Box. The Yo-Yo Lift is a scheduled, temporary bounce — your price jumps to a target, holds for a set number of minutes, then automatically reverts to your regular repricing strategy. You test the higher price without committing to it permanently.
