How to turn competitor activity into actionable takeaways
Get a full competitive dataset in just a few clicks
Pick a product and define competitors
Start from any product in your catalog. Enter specific ASINs manually for the rivals you already know, or let Flashpricer auto-track the top 5, 10, or 15 sellers in your category by keyword. You can build multiple tracking segments per product — one watching your hand-picked rivals, another auto-tracking the broader category. Each segment answers a different question, and they run simultaneously.
1
Start collecting data automatically
Once a segment is live, we pull competitor data and accumulate a historical record you can't build by manual checking. Every tracked ASIN gets its price movements, BSR shifts, fulfillment method (FBA vs. FBM), subcategory listings, monthly revenue estimates, and units sold logged day-over-day for as long as you keep tracking. The longer it runs, the deeper the history you can analyze against.
2
Display charts to spot important patterns
We plot your price against every competitor's price over time — when they moved and how long it took the market to follow. Overlay BSR on top to see the direct relationship between your price changes and your ranking movement. The side-by-side comparison benchmarks you against any competitor across price, BSR, monthly revenue, and units sold — with a win rate for each metric.
3
Run it alone or alongside repricing
Market Insights is a pure data layer — no automated price changes unless you want them. If you spot something worth acting on, you can push a manual price change from inside Flashpricer and the system keeps tracking the results. If you're already running repricing strategies, Market Insights layers on top — analyzing the competitive landscape while your automation runs in the background.
4
Why brands that win stopped making pricing decisions on gut
Start making smarter decisions for your brand's pricing
Know if a price change moved BSR
Most brands set their price and hope for the best. With BSR plotted over pricing history, you can see exactly what a dollar drop did to your ranking last month, and whether the incremental movement was worth the margin hit.
Catch competitor moves in seconds
A competitor drops their price by 8% on a Tuesday and picks up velocity for two weeks before most sellers notice. Market Insights catches it the day it happens. You see the move while it's still early enough to respond.
Get insights without handing over the keys
Some brands aren't ready to let a repricer take over — pricing committees, MAP obligations, or a preference to stay in the driver's seat. Market Insights is built for that mindset. You get the data your team needs with no automation required.
Go deeper than any manual check-in
If a competitor in your space is listed in a different subcategory and pulling better BSR, that's actionable info you'd never find manually. Category and fulfillment breakdowns reveal patterns across your full competitive set.

The full scoop on Market Insights
What data does Market Insights actually track?
Price, BSR, fulfillment method (FBA vs. FBM), subcategory listings, monthly revenue estimates, and units sold — for every competitor you're tracking. All of it is captured day-over-day, so you get a historical record instead of a snapshot. You can view it in a price history chart with BSR overlay, a side-by-side competitor comparison tool, and fulfillment and category breakdowns.
How do I get access?
Market Insights is normally a paid add-on, but it's currently free for a limited time to all Flashpricer users. Access has to be turned on manually for your account, so request it by emailing success@flashpricer.com. Once we enable it, you can start tracking competitors immediately from inside Flashpricer.
What does the side-by-side comparison show?
You pick any competitor and Flashpricer shows you where you're winning and losing across price, BSR, monthly revenue, and units sold. Each metric gets a win rate so you can see not just where you stand today but how often you're ahead or behind across the tracked period.
Can I track the same product in multiple segments?
Yes. You can create multiple segments per product, each with a different competitive set — for example, one segment watching your top 5 hand-picked rivals and another auto-tracking the top 15 in the broader category. Each segment runs independently and answers a different competitive question.
What's useful about overlaying BSR on pricing history?
It answers a question sellers usually can't answer: did my last price change actually move my ranking? With the overlay, you can see exactly what a dollar drop did to your BSR last month and how long the effect lasted. Then compare that to the last time you dropped by two dollars. The incremental ranking movement versus the margin hit becomes visible instead of guessed at.
Do I have to use Flashpricer's repricing to use Market Insights?
No. Market Insights works as a standalone intelligence layer — no automated price changes unless you want them. It's built specifically for brands and agencies that want the competitive data to make manual pricing decisions on their own timeline. If you decide to automate later, the repricing engine is already there and Market Insights continues tracking alongside it.
How do I add competitors?
Two ways, and you can mix them. Enter specific ASINs manually for the rivals you already know, or let Flashpricer auto-track the top 5, 10, or 15 sellers in your category by keyword. You can also create multiple tracking segments on the same product — a hand-picked segment for the competitors you watch closely and an auto-tracked segment for broader category awareness.
