How the optimizer finds a funding limit Walmart never publishes
From funded product
to optimized price
Activate the add-on and pick a mode
Open any Walmart strategy, turn on Optimize Walmart Funded Savings, and choose a mode. Raise the price only never drops below the price you started with. Raise and lower the price can also come down, never below your minimum, to trigger Walmart's funded discount or win it back after Walmart moves its target. Works with Custom, Private Label and CH.AI strategies.
1
Start testing funded products
Every 15 minutes, Flashpricer reads Walmart's incentives for your channel. When a product picks up a Walmart-funded discount and its limit isn't known yet, a search begins. The optimizer raises your price in small steps, and the steps get bigger as long as Walmart keeps funding. A test only counts as funded once Walmart has had time to apply it (up to 5 minutes), so a slow price update is never mistaken for a yes.
2
Back off fast and narrows to the cent
When a test goes too high, Walmart drops the discount and shows your full price. The optimizer checks every minute and goes straight back to the last funded price. From there it tests halfway prices between the highest funded price and the first refused one until the two are one cent apart, then settles on the highest funded price. Each search is capped at 30 steps and 20 total minutes without the discount. If the budget runs out, it holds the best funded price found so far.
3
Hold the price and re-check nightly
While a product is being optimized or funded, your repricing strategy steps aside for that product. Walmart moves its limits over time, so the optimizer re-checks every funded product each night between 1 and 5 AM Eastern, when sales are slowest, and reacts right away if funding drops during the day. When Walmart stops funding a product entirely, your previous price comes back and your strategy takes over again.
4
Walmart is already willing to pay you more on funded products. Most sellers never find out how much.
Walmart doesn't show where the limit is, so Flashpricer finds it
Collect money Walmart is already willing to pay
Walmart keeps covering the discount as you raise your price, up to a point. Price an $18.99 product at $19.89 and the shopper still sees $16.99, while Walmart pays you $0.90 more per sale. At 42 sales a month, that's $453.60 a year on one SKU.
Get more margin without touching what shoppers pay
While Walmart funds the discount, the price on Walmart.com doesn't move, so your conversion rate and Buy Box odds hold steady. The extra money comes from Walmart, not your customer. It's the rare price increase with no downside on sales.
Automate the tedious work nobody has time to do by hand
Finding the limit by hand means pushing prices, waiting, checking, and pulling back when you overshoot. Then repeating it daily, because the limit moves. Flashpricer runs that search on every funded product, every day, quickly stacking profit.
Set reliable guardrails that make it safe to leave on
Never below your minimum. Above your maximum only if you allow it, and never past 1.5x the starting price. Search time without the discount is capped, and every test is logged in your repricing history with the reason for each step.

Your Walmart Funded Savings questions, answered
What is Walmart Funded Savings?
It's a Walmart program where Walmart shows shoppers a lower price than the one you set and covers the difference itself. You set $18.99, the shopper sees $16.99, and your sale still settles at $18.99. It's also the most common reason a Walmart listing shows a price below your minimum.
Will my customers pay more?
No. While Walmart funds the discount, shoppers see Walmart's funded price no matter what your price is. The optimizer only raises your price while that stays true. If a test goes too far, it reverts within a minute or two.
Can it hurt my sales or my Buy Box?
The price shoppers see doesn't change while Walmart funds the discount, so the Buy Box comparison doesn't either. The only exception is a refused test, where your full price shows for a minute or two before the optimizer goes back. Each search is limited to 20 total minutes without the discount, and usually takes far less.
Which products does it work on?
Walmart US products that Walmart includes in a funded incentive, on channels with the add-on and assigned to a strategy with the optimization turned on. Use the Walmart Funded Savings (active) filter on the Products page to see every product Walmart is funding right now.
Which mode should I start with?
Raise the price only. It never drops below the price you started with, and if a product loses funding, your previous price comes back. Raise and lower the price is useful when you want to drop slightly (never below your minimum) to qualify for a funded discount or win it back after Walmart moves its target.
Can the optimizer price above my maximum?
Only if you allow it. The setting is off by default. When it's on, the optimizer still never goes past 1.5x the price it started from.
What happens when Walmart stops funding a product?
The optimizer notices at the next check. In Raise and lower mode, it looks for a lower funded price, never below your minimum. If there isn't one, your previous price comes back and your repricing strategy takes over again.
How quickly will I see results?
The optimizer starts on your funded products within minutes of turning it on. A full search usually takes 30 to 60 minutes per product, since Walmart can take up to 5 minutes to apply each price. The badge on the Products page shows each search as it runs.
How do I check what I was actually paid?
Once an order ships, search its PO number under Payments in Walmart Seller Center. You'll see the sale price, the Walmart-funded savings, and your net payout.
Which strategies does it work with?
Custom, Private Label and CH.AI strategies on Walmart. If a strategy also covers Walmart channels that don't have the add-on, the setting is simply ignored on those channels.
How much does it cost?
$49 a month per Walmart channel. On a single well-selling funded product, the extra Walmart pays you can cover it within the first month.
